Colin Kaepernick is a diick

Recommended Posts

While I disagree with this form of protest, I get it. I hope he's donating money to inner city schools, or african American programs, or just donating his time and "fame" to further the movement. If he's not, it kind of makes him a hypocrite. He took a lazy, ignorant, cheap shot, uncreative, horrible form of protest. This type of protest muddies the water in what he's trying to do. It is now about him being a spoiled, unpatriotic, grew up middle class, half white, multimillionaire baby. Congrats I guess.

What are appropriate forms of protest? It is static, or is there a degree of flux/continuum? Who determines what is appropriate?

While I do not take political stances from athletes and other entertainers too seriously, I do not blame them for using the spotlight they are given to promote their "cause." I do wonder how many of their contracts are written and if some of these actions carry consequences by their teams and the league.

I think in this modern era, the populace has no problem hearing about and talking about issues. In a different time before mass media I could see an athlete or an entertainer using their recognition to bring attention to a cause. It's just not necessary anymore, we are easily made aware of issues now. I just want to be entertained at this point. Thanks, but it's not needed. We have it covered. Play and let us enjoy and get away from it. It's one of the few things that right, left or indifferent can get together and disagree about important stuff, like air in footballs and if it's a catch or not.

as a fan, i would like to watch football.

if we are players and want to make an impact on an issue, i can understand where someone might choose something like a national anthem to quietly protest/attract attention to their plight. there are many methods to do so, but if he were not a high profile athlete this would be known. didn't a viking punter recently use the nfl stage to advocate for gay rights?

I haven't read much support of Colin sitting down.

What I've read is a lot of white people reacting defensively.

I read that someone called him the n-word.

I really don't care who approves of what he did, I approve.

You can call him whatever you like, join the rest of your crew.

Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston confirmed to the Chicago Tribune that Colin Kaepernick used the N-word to address him during Chicago's Week 2 win over San Francisco.

Colin = Westboro Church idiots.

Ignorant!

Wrong.

Westboro folks are consistent.

How many anthems has he stood for up to now?

Dude is far worse. He's exploiting a media-friendly cause to agitate for a trade/cut. In short, he's using it for his own benefit. I don't give a shiit is he does yoga during the State of the Union address, but don't be an inconsistent, insincere kunt about it. The focker defines white privledge - and just like Rachel Notsoblack, he's using a cause for his own benefit only now when it suits him.

He was probably not making a statement. He was just pissed that he is losing a QB battle to Blaine Gabbert and decided to whine and not stand during the anthem. Then when he got called out on it he needed to think up an excuse.

I don't agree with Kap's style of protest but I support his right to do it. Other than that, nothing to say. :dunno:

I thought it was great the way all the black ;players refused to stand for the anthem last night over the completely unjust killing of a black woman pushing a baby carriage.

Oh wait, the killers were black.

and we expect that. And blacks excuse that.

Huh, I guess Black Lives Don't Matter.

During the off-season Colin Kaepernick converted to Islam. Colin Kaepernick is also engaged to Black Lives Matter activist and hip-hop radio personality DJ Nessa Diab. Black Lives Matter as an activist group is synonymous with promotion of authentic Islam.

In the social justice arena, there is no daylight between the various BLM activism groups, and activist Islam. They are interwoven amid every controversial eruption over the past six years. We have tried to draw attention to it numerous times, but many don’t fully grasp the scope of the relationship between radical Islam and Black Lives Matter. It’s a symbiosis, a complete synergy in activism and intent.

Compete POS. There are so many other ways you can voice your opinion. This isn't one of them. Doing it for the attention. This is the greatest country in the world and you're making $19 million a year for throwing a damn football around. Gimme a focking break.

I'd slice your throat and ###### down you neck if you said that around me dicklips.

Yes, I'm an internet TG too.

Close, but I was hoping for this copy pasta:

What the did you just say about me, you little ? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my words. You think you can get away with saying that to me over the Internet? Think again, dude. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across theUSA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little . If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you idiot. I will fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re dead, kiddo.

Solid effort.

What a focking joke. These are focking criminals being gunned down for reaching for a gun or some other ###### by law enforcement. Way to stand up for the criminals, typical what black people do. Sure, there is one or two cases where the police officer messed up; or is just a bad cop, and in that case they should be arrested and have a trial.

What's funny is, that poosay will bow down at some point and stand up to the flag and get his capitalist check he so rightfully deserves.

They would be the flagbearers of that aspect of our defunct and utterly bankrupt culture, yes. Them, Paris Hilton, and a dozen others.

He's a right to sit I suppose. Fans in 32 locations including his home stadium also have a right to let them know how they feel about it as do any corporate sponsors.

NFL fans are already merciless d*cks to the visiting team anyways. Goes with the job. Now try being the a$$hole who sits during the national anthem and see how much worse it is. And that's just opposing fans.

He's on the brink of getting cut, SF management has long been seen as wanting to wash their hands of him. Unfairly I always use to think until now. So, maybe as soon as this week, he's going to have to go someplace else and it's not like the new teams home team fans are going to forgive or embrace a guy that sits during the anthem. The baggage with him now is such that the whole NFL fan base hates him. Any of the other 31 GMs that signs him is going to have to be willing to face down blowback hell from their fan base if they do offer him a contract. It's probably not worth it.

Really the guy had talent enough to take a team to the Super Bowl and earlier in the offseason Denver had tried to trade for him to be their starter as a fallback Plan D type option. He'd easily have found work as a backup QB or even as a desperation QB1. Now?

That's what gets me though - everyone losing their shite thinking they are witty for pointing out how "oppressed" he is. He isn't. He doesn't think he is. He's not "speaking out" for himself. He's speaking out for others. Same as Lebron's "I can't breathe shirt" and the others before him. Furthermore, since when the fock did not standing for the National Anthem have anything to do with disrespecting soldiers. Completely unrelated. All you Nationalist Focks can stick a flag up your ass and twist it.

I get what you're saying. And yes, tying the National Anthem to the military is wrong; and I don't think it's disrespectful to the military for him to do it.

He has the right to sit if he wants to and I applaud the US having the right to do that.

However, IMO he's a fucktard for doing it. One has nothing to do with the other.

It's not a nationwide policy for blacks to be oppressed, beaten or shot without due process by LE.

It IS a very small number of people that are being treated improperly by the police; and the issue DOES exist.

Sitting during the national anthem is a "cop" out for him just to be a douche.

He doesn't care about the issue; but he is trying to stir the pot, and it's exceptionally obvious.

THAT'S why people don't respect what he's doing.

You're a grand old flag

You're a high flying flag

Amd forever in peace may you wave

You're the symbol of

The land that I love

The home of the free and the brave

Every heart beats true

Neath the red white and blue

Where there's never a boast or a brag

Should old acquaintance be forgot

Keep your eye on the grand ol' flag

I think the guy should be able to sit during the anthem if he so desires, I disagree with it, but I get it....

I also think he is a focking hypocrite, taking some stance against the infrequent bad behavior of a select few in such a way as to pretend its some issue worth of anyone's time......meanwhile he has happily associated with folks within the NFL who practice domestic violence etc, which is a FAR greater problem, and seems oblivious to the fact that the people he pretends to care about are shot daily by others.....

So, have at it of course.....but accept the ridicule you so richly deserve as well, because in the end you are in fact a dooshbag....

I don't get this logic.

We all agree that shooting black people is not nearly the biggest problem facing black Americans. Why does that necessarily mean it's not worth anyone's time? If poverty is the #1 problem facing black Americans, is it hypocritical to spend time on say alcoholism or sickle cell anemia?

Isn't the fact that many people think police harassment / shootings isn't a problem at all evidence that it's exactly what Kaep should be talking about if he thinks it's a problem? He doesn't need to convince anyone that gang violence, broken homes, poverty etc is an issue.
