I read that the guy who is in line to be speaker of the house if Republicans take back control of the house (and forgive me if it isn’t accurate I’m just reporting what I read) said that if they do win back the house they will get the impeachment expunged.

My fear is that after Trump leaves office, the Romney/Ryan/Jeb!/Cheney wing of the party all take off their masks and try to regain control. It's another, lesser reason to give Trump another four years to weaken this faction more and more and continue to replace them with Trump Republicans.

They're welcome in the coalition, but they can sit in the backseat, we're not giving the wheel back up to these focks without a fight.

He's an anomaly.  I'd say most Republicans (in congress) are just playing along until he's gone.  I hope I'm wrong and that he's actually recreating the R party into one for the American worker but I ain't holding my breath.

I could see it and it really needs to happen. Any President could be impeached for anything at this point. All one needs is a whistleblower or two. Maybe three and they are impeached. Can't know who the whistleblower is, can't ask them questions. A President is basically defenseless. Get to close to the whistleblower and everybody shutsdown like Roberts did. It's pathetic and demeans the office.

On to filling judicial vacancies...192 down (85+107), but still so many more to go... up to 84 now since the Senate has been distracted for the last few weeks focking around with impeachment nonsense rather than handing out appointments, including one plus another impending one on the Appeals Court (5th and 11th). Ideally McConnell and Graham leave zero behind by the time the next election is in the books.
