The confirmed cases range in age from 1 month to 100 years.
An additional death was reported in Davidson County, a 53-year-old woman with underlying health conditions.
A total of sixty-six (66) people have died after a confirmed case of COVID-19. 4,448 individuals have recovered from the virus.

The Roadmap for Reopening Nashville was created in cooperation with public health officials, business leaders, and community leaders to ensure that our community takes a measured approach in safely getting Nashvillians back to work. “Our framework to restart Nashville’s economy is rooted in data, not dates, and involves four distinct phases with clear metrics for returning all of Davidson County to business as usual in stages, as well as built-in triggers to revert to earlier phases to protect public health as necessary,” states asafenashville.org.

today my county allows restaurants to seat up to 50%, spaced occupancy.

only one of my clients has had to close permanently ( a small Thai restaurant). Great food but he did not utilize my research and advice.

 

seversl are close to reopening.

 

several are still waiting (3 movie theaters), and a racetrack.

 

i has one restaurant reopen, do “ok” then sit down for a week because a roommate of a server caught it.

 

we are mixed about this.  We want the local restaurants to survive, but also not put people at risk (staff and customers).

- while at the same time testing has reached all time highs (close to 600k Friday alone) and the 7 day rolling average is 2.5x higher than it was on 4/1

 

- new cases this week (131k) is down 25% from first week of May (175k)

- new deaths this week (5.3k) is down 58% from first week of May (12.6k)

- new tests this week (2.7 M) is up 50% from first week of May (1.8 M)

- % positive new tests (4.8%) is down 48% from first week of May (9.3%) 

* These last 4 stats do not include Sunday numbers, but those are typically half or less of the rolling average due to lack of reporting on Sunday, so final weekly numbers and % changes will differ than what is listed here, although not by much

late april/early may seems to be the peak.  I am curious to see how the protests/looting impacts the numbers:

Trying, but not having success posting a chart... ultimately, throughout the week we see peaks around saturdays and valleys around mondays and tuesdays. Today is not posting yet. Friday vs 5/29 is a virtual push.  Daily cases have been going down a little week to week (looking at peak to peak and valley to valley).   This is the first cycle matching the week prior since our decline in april/may.

As beer stated, the peak for cases and deaths was around end of April/first of May.

The decline is much slower than the rise, but it has been steady for 6 weeks.

The reopening of southern states did not lead to spikes as many predicted, hopefully that holds true for the nationwide protests.

At this point, new cases is essentially meaningless, we can't determine if they are a result of more spreading or just more testing.. Hospitalizations and deaths are what matters. I don't know where to find hospitalization stats. The declining death stats are very promising.

I’d say close to zero chance. These headlines are just for clicks then they will say they need 5 years of testing be for its ready. If it’s real at all which I’d say is a remote chance considering none have ever existed for this type of virus.
