Recommended Posts

What’s your favorite movie that your favorite actor has starred in?

Example: Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2

Sort of related but not. Is it now a requirement that Woody Harrelson has to be in every Green Screen blockbuster movie & franchise?

Ooh that's tough. Downey Jr is my favorite actor of all time...Phoenix in The Joker is probably the best acting I've seen in a movie......but ill go with Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark if I'm combing actor to rewatchable favorite movie.

Great question

I just saw that Will Smith and Kevin Hart are remaking, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles."

Why?

Just a way for Hollywood to get more black people into movies, since they can't come up with better ideas.  Also, because they're finding that there's not a lot of money in black lead movies, so they're going to "sure things".

Netflix and Hulu movies/series are where they can make the money off the black lead stuff. Those are the “woke” streaming services. Actual movies released in movies hardly ever do well but they win “awards”.

Harrison Ford in Blade Runner.

Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven.

Mel Gibson in The Road Warrior.

this is a good list.  might say The Fugitive for Ford instead.

Nicholson - One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest or The Shining

DiCaprio - Catch Me if You Can

Tom Hardy - TV show Taboo, movie.... too many. Warrior was good and I hate MMA, he wasn’t a star in Inception. Co star in Mad Max id say. Maybe Legend.

When was the last time that Will Smith made a movie that didn't bomb? I swear him and Matt Damon should do movies together.

Norton is so focking good...

He's the King in Kingdom of Heaven, enjoyed the director's cut. Great cast. He didn't want to be credited, kind of cool.

Val Kilmer in Tombstone

Simply magnificent performance by Val.

Couple not mentioned:

Mel Gibson - Braveheart

Denzel Washington - Man on Fire

If either of those movies are on, I'm done channel surfing.

Denzel Washington - Man on Fire

Good call, I forgot about that - Norton as the leper king and just doing the part in a major pic and not credited, very cool.    Doesn't change the fact that the definitive list of Norton characters starts and ends with American History X.

Denzel in MOF is a good call.   "My wish?". . . . "I wish you had more time"  and walks away, queue the explosion in the background.

Eastwood in the Westerns, Dirty Harry and even later in The Mule and El Camino (Get off my lawn!!)

Hanks in Green Mile, Gump, Apollo 13, Big and Spalsh

One who I do not usually care for is Brad Pitt but I just saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and thought he did a good job.  Better than I expected.

I felt like he came as close as possible to ruining the departed. But I like him in a lot of other things.
