Saw one protesting woman say, "They could've shot him in the leg."

Yea, cuz that's what she would do - aim for the leg of a knife wielding thug coming after her...

We don't the know the full details yet - but looks like a clean shoot so far.

I agree, however, this group of people do not care about facts and absolutely refuse to admit that their own vile behavior is what caused this "persons" death.  You can tell by the comments, Why didn't they shot them in the leg? Why didn't they use a taser?, Why did they pull out their weapons?  No, you irresponsible trash, the question should be, Why is anyone upset that a POS thug that charged police with a knife got shot?

Rough neighborhood. I had a friend who moved to 52nd and Walnut years ago. He left in two weeks and he was definitely not a guy who would be spooked by the city. He said you couldn’t walk in any direction at night.

How can this be? Philadelphia has a black woman police chief, a far left mayor and district attorney and they’re a sanctuary city. How can the citizens of Philadelphia be so upset? It’s a liberal utopia.  They stopped enforcing misdemeanors and let people out of jail. I don’t get it.

"clean"....."legitimate".....none of this matters anymore.....

The only "acceptable" approach is apparently to allow people to be as criminal as they want, or else.....ahhhhh, liberals today....

Agreed - but that cuts both ways. To think it's a just a liberal thing is grossly ignorant. To think there aren't at fault/bad shootings as well is grossly irresponsible.... It's a case by case evaluation - least it should be.

In this particular case, the dumbass thug appears to have brought it on himself.

I think we agree.  Every case should be credibly evaluated, with appropriate outcomes.

I take issue with the new norm of shooting = burn/loot/mob rage.....   if we allow stupidity to be accepted then this behavior might range outside of the idiots home areas, let them ruin their own future, but keep away from mine.

I think we're basically on the same page as well. I (too) am sick of these idiots disrespecting authority, escalating situations, threatening public safety and officer lives - then crying about being victims.

But in turn - I take issue with the Billy Joe Bob vigilantes taking matters into their own hands too. At times chasing down, hunting in fact, people to scratch their "street justice" itch. The 3 assclowns in Georgia, George Zimmerman - the world doesn't need those kinds of p.o.s. either.

Absolutely.  There is no place for people to stroll the streets enforcing the law on their own.

Now, that being said, if people want to stand on their front porch with some weapons, just to remind the idiot mob that there might be consequences for their actions.....I am fine with that.

Well you are going to be REALLY disappointed how things go down.

This has been my stated expectation for years tho.  I think the republicans with something to lose will not have the stomach for this civil war.  When the real fighting starts, these republicans will not fight.  They will come up with reason not to, probably along the lines that the right wing faction is not using the standard protocols for classy fighting.  They will sit on the sidelines.  Pretty sure I said this in 2018 on here .  Maybe 2019. I would be shocked if anyone here actually fought in this war.  The right wing and left wing will be doing things you will really not agree with.

You are mentally setting up exactly as I expected.

Of course there is.  That's why we allow for citizens arrests.  Those vigilantes should be held accountable if they do something wrong though, just like the criminals they're supposedly going after.  You can be a vigilante if you're responsible about it.  I have no issue with neighborhood watch or groups like the Guardian Angels who choose to make their neighborhoods safer.

I don't disagree but I'm talking from a pure legal/constitutional standpoint.  And I think it's worth noting because we don't lose our rights just because the lefties choose not to enforce laws in their communities.  If anything, we may need to be more vigilant and willing to police our own neighborhoods.  If you lived in Seattle and knew a mob was coming to your neighborhood and the police's hand were tied by the city, what would you do?

I mean what did I say when I first starting posting here about civil war?

1.  Many on this forum will try to be geniuses and split the middle.  They will find the tactics of both the left and right distasteful.   So they will criticize both sides.

2.  They won't fight.  They will sit on the sidelines and call both sides fools.

3.  This is the STUPID position to take. Because you have a nasty civil war where both sides are fighting in the gutter.  You make fun of both sides.  So no matter who wins, the winner is gonna find out and put you and your family up against the wall and shoot you.

4.  Then I specifically said if you are going to do this (and you know who you are, you are the ones with the sense of dignity and class) you damn well better get a passport for you and your loved ones and move out of this country before the fighting starts.

If you are still in the US and are now barreling down the path of criticizing both sides, you are a dumbsheet.

Starting to read that stuff in here now,  "i disgree with the rioting, also disgree with vigilante justice from the right wing"

DONT DO THAT AND NOT HAVE MOVED OVERSEAS.

Agree completely.  And I would further submit that we should all consider what options might be available should the Democrat mobs decided to branch out, and attempt to attack our local communities as a next step.

Nothin like training your kid how to hate white people right at the beginning of his life.

West Philly Chase Jones brought his 3-year-old son, Chase, to the front of the police line at 55 and Pine to confront police with riot shields. “This is what racism looks like,” he told his son, eye to eye with a white officer. “Take a look.”

Smart....way to have "the talk" with your kid....

That kid is destined for greatness for sure  (dead by 18)

If I had a good 12 hour heads up to prepare, I'd rent a backhoe and visit the bank when they arrived.
