He’s probably used his knee like that on countless dirtbags. Routine protocol for keeping a guy down. He didn’t know the guy was drugged up and a stiff breeze would take him out. I saw multiple videos of guys saying “I can’t breathe!” for no reason, not even being held down or choked or anything, it’s just a thing they say for some reason. It’s not his job to give a dirty hobo addict mouth to mouth or try to save his life cuz he’s about to croak from fentanyl. Could he have gone easier? Yes and he should have in hindsight only because in the video you can see he was not a threat to get up and fight back. You can also find videos where the perp gets free and beats the cop senseless, so hey enjoy that if you are a cop I guess.

The whole narrative now is that they didnt get this verdict through peace.   Several people were giving speeches over a microphone or tweeting after thr verdict that because of the riots and violence they got the desired outcome.  So riots will not stop.   Violence will continue.  People will be arrested and let go only to smash windows or burn buildings for a 2nd 3rd 4th time.  

The new normal.  If you want something be violent.  What a standard that has been set from these Democrat riots in Democrat cities over the course of more than a year.

No comment on that, George Floyd wasn’t a model citizen and when you look at the beginning tape it’s clear he’s a person who was being very difficult and Derek was trying his best to simply get him in the car. He acted completely professionally, imo. At some point Derek lost control of doing what was in the best interest of George Floyd and lost sight of how his career would be affected. The jury found his behavior unreasonable and the cause of George Floyd’s death and I agree.

Every day teachers refrain from beating the daylights out of children and teenagers that deserve to have their blocks knocked off. Police officers with guns have to be in control of themselves just as teachers are expected to be in control. It’s the business of the job. 
I’d like to see police officers having more layers so that they aren’t expected to do so much alone. The police need help, imo.

They should have a force that responds to people having mental health problems. Apparently, 25% of all calls to the police are related to people having a mental health crisis. Also, giving tickets for speeding does not need an armed police officer. Changes should be made to help police.

So true. I taught kindergarten for many years. The first few months, it was hard to fight the tempation to not beat the devil out the gawd-awful ones, but it became second nature and I got use to it in time. It's far easier than being a cop, I was never in any danger, I was dealing with children 1/3 - 1/4 my size after all.

Teachers are not even close to dealing with the dirtbags that the police deal with. And guess what, peenie, 99.99% of those dirtbags walk away or go to jail quietly. Floyd refused.

A long time ago doctors and nurses did everything. Now, there are phlebotomists. nurses assistants, nurses, midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians etc. 
We need to help the police by adding more specialists like we’ve dove in the medical field. There are just some things an armed policeman shouldn’t be doing; like arresting a drug addict for handing a cashier fake money.
