What’s some gifts that no matter how matter times you receive them youd still be excited every time? 
 

Received one today at our family Christmas party. Platter of meat. Came with a big pack of sausage, pack of 5 thick cut ribeyes, 5 cut NY strips, and a huge tomahawk ribeye. Parents got us, my brother & SIL, sister & BIL, and my other sister all a platter each. Had them cut yesterday from a butcher in their town.

This is a good one.  For years we did a white elephant exchange with a bunch of our taekwondo friends.  About 1/2 of us liked good booze, and the other half either didn't drink or were underage.  We drinkers would often "rescue" the others from their unwanted booze.

My wife laughs because every time someone asks what I want for Christmas I always say:  Golf, Fishing or Grilling; Surprise me.

I always get new underwear, tees, thermals too.  Gotta stay fresh.

clothes are tough. Boxer briefs and socks, cool. Anything else I usually would prefer not to get. It’s rare to receive a style/fit that I actually like. I mean yes, it’s a gift and all but then I feel bad that the person wasted their money or I have to go out of my way exchanging it. 
 

Tickets to events are always good. I’ve received or gifted Jets tickets some years, Nets, US Open Tix. Experiences > stuff.

Tickets to events are always good. I’ve received or gifted Jets tickets some years, Nets, US Open Tix. Experiences > stuff. 

One thing I didn’t know about until now is Amazon gives you “points” for buying certain things on there (and maybe selling but don’t quote me on that). And with enough of them you can get different things. My mom buys and sells a lot on there so she’s got a ton and was going to give us tickets for a baby moon before my wife gives birth.

 A few years ago some people in my family and friends were complaining about the Christmas present they received or in some cases none at all.  I, personally, was buying gifts for 30 - 35 people.  It wasn't so much the money but the time and hassle.  Believe it or not, a person that I was in a Fantasy Football League with complained that he didn't get a more expensive gift from me.  I had sent all of them a gift certificate from Starbucks.

So, I told everybody DO NOT GET ME A GIFT FOR CHRISTMAS and I WILL NOT BE GIVING GIFTS TO ANYONE !  If you get me a gift, I will donate it to local charity.

Christmas is so much more enjoyable for me now.  I get my wife and 2 kids something nice AND THAT'S IT !
