As long as Californians are footing the bill, I'm all for it. We just need to put up a wall to keep the residents locked in that state. They've been acting like a cancer of late moving infecting other states with their presence. Individual states should be allowed to tax people who move from California at a way higher tax bracket than their normal state income tax. This includes Texas and Florida.

If reparations is such an important issue, why doesn't each state put up a "Go Fund Me" page called "Donate for Reparations".  Every January 1st, the money that's in that account gets divvied up among the black residents of that state.  No need to make it a government subsidy.  People can make as many (non-deductible), donations as they want and can do it every year.  The only people who can make a 33% tax deductible donation, are black people.  So if black people want to share their wealth and donate $10k... they can deduct $3333 of their gross income from that year.  White people deduct nothing because they're supposed to give the money freely.

I don't care. If it was something I had to write out for my job I might have saod poorly educated,  and I would have used commas. But I don't care that much about grammar use on this website. My point remains the same no matter how I spell it out.

I don't really care what SF does, but if this were to go wider, then I agree with you.  And if the argument is "but there is still systemic racism$#@!" then I remove my consent until you fix it to your heart's content.  But I'm not behind another "student debt forgiveness" vote-buying boondoggle which does nothing to address the core issue (which in this case I argue is underachievement, not systemic racism).  Once you get the money, we are done.
