Mike Honcho 5,084 Posted April 1 The two that get absolutely no leeway from me are REO Speedwagon and Boston. I'm not suggesting they make bad music, but the music they made just does not work for me at all. Not one pleasure center in my brain lights up at all when I hear either of them. Fnord 2,051 Posted April 1 Feel the same about REO Speedwagon. Red Hot Chili Peppers for me. What few good songs they've had got so overplayed I hate them all. I feel mostly the same about a lot of the big grunge era bands like Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, STP, Soundgarden, the list goes on. At one time I enjoyed them and that time was 30 years ago. 25 if I'm being generous.
Drizzay 698 Posted April 1 It would be easy to list off just any pop singer/group, because that is not my type of music. But within my type of music (mostly classic rock), i find myself skipping over Queen a lot. Definitely not a knock on them. But I have a hard time listening to Killer Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody for the 14 billionth time.

Yeah, I picked REO and Boston, because they are typically music/genres that I listen to a lot---but for whatever reason they absolutely don't click with me at all. GobbleDog 976 Posted April 1 My wife, a soft-spoken lily-white Christian girl from Alabama, for some inexplicable reason loves ... thug-life gangster rap. I don't get it. Every year we drive the kid to camp and then the 10 hour drive home... ugh.

I know this because they suck ass and punk kicks ass. I will die a gruesome, mangled death on this hill. That said, while I have undying love for the Ramones and Pistols, I'm not exactly seeking them out for new Spotify playlists. I was always ambivalent about the Clash. First punk show I ever saw was Green Day right before Dookie came out ($4 all ages show) and it changed my life. But I can't stand them anymore, either. For funsies, here's the song GD stole the American Idiot riff from (later settled out of court for an undisclosed sum):
