A few points.
I hated the first one. I thought it was incredibly stupid for a number of reasons. The cow in the air was just one. My expectations for this sequel were so low, the bar was in hell. I DID NOT want to pay to see it in the theater.
I thought this one looked equally as stupid; Glen Powell is in TOO many movies right now and I can't decide if he's a good actor or not. He DOES do better as the reckless lame cowboy type than the serious type. I was kind of refusing to see it because of him as well.
The preview, "WE HAVE TWINS!!!" Lame. Turned me off, thought it was dumb to put that in the movie let alone the trailer.
My expectation was also, "How are they going to loop climate change into this?" More severe storms, blah blah blah. Major turn off. I don't want to hear about an agenda.
Then hubs said, "I heard that they don't mention climate change at all."
Decided at that point, I'd see it. So, went and saw it. Good entertainment movie without an ounce of political garbage, which is what I will pay for. They had an obvious LGBTQ character or two and didn't make them make out or anything, the MFC and MMC didn't make out either, which was cool.
If I am going to pay that much money to see a movie in a theater, or even stream it at home for $30 - the fewer political views the better (from either side). I want to be entertained, not lectured or preached at.
