Baker Boy 1,702 Posted October 2, 2017 With guns, you're trading A LOT of safety for a very minor freedom. It's a bad deal. They, who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.- Ben Franklin A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever. John Adams "I believe that it is better to be free than to be not free, even when the former is dangerous and the latter safe. I believe that the finest qualities of man can flourish only in free air -- that progress made under the shadow of the policeman's club is false progress, and of no permanent value. I believe that any man who takes the liberty of another into his keeping is bound to become a tyrant, and that any man who yields up his liberty, in however slight the measure, is bound to become a slave." - H.L. Saint Elistan 106 Posted October 2, 2017 The interview with his brother shows a guy who is gobsmacked by this. I wonder something. How easy is it to create this entire story out of ether? To 'lose' a scapegoat; to create this destruction. Is a Government fully willing to hide corruption also completely capable of pulling off a horrific act like this to sway public opinion for a very specific strategic purpose? I think this possibility also has to be considered. I don't think that Occam's Razor would be offended. It's awfully suspicious at the very least. They found him dead in his room? Classic conspiracy theory stuff here.

giraldi02 474 Posted October 2, 2017 Five things that just dont add up about the Las Vegas mass shooting https://www.naturalnews.com/2017-10-02-five-things-that-just-dont-add-up-about-the-las-vegas-mass-shooting.html As it pertains to the first one, the multiple shooters aspect, I think that from where he was shooting created an impression of multiple people. He shot out two different windows as well, which must've meant he was in a big room. Wouldn't have been surprised if he set up weapons on both sides. Likely a decent suite. Because of the distance (image here: https://media.nbcnewyork.com/images/mandalay-bay-shooting-locator3.jpg), I think the confusion mixed with the lights could create confusion where the shots are coming from. But how did he get that specific room? He must have planned the logistics of this for quite some time to be able to have that room on an NFL weekend from Thursday-Sunday on a concert event weekend. I'd be curious to see whether he rented that room in the past. Supposedly this guy was a millionaire. Number four is interesting as that area in general is kind of a labyrinth. Most of that area across the street from the Luxor is walled off with a chain-link fence all the way around. Strip side has brick wall outside the fence. But I think in a lot of events there they funnel people in and out through East Mandalay Bay Rd (which when facing the stage, you'd have to go the left and towards the back of the stage). I just wonder if they didn't even have any help around the other areas where those fences open. Likely negligence on their part could come into play if there was a lawsuit. tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 3, 2017 Any gun fanatic here would just need one stray bullet off their daughters skull and they would be sniveling to abolish all weapons. You ones who are responsible are tainted by the few bad apples that spoil the bunch. You arent protecting anything. Your fantasy of stopping a black home invader with your weapon at the ready will never come true. If anything your kid will accidentally shoot you or his friend when he spies on where you keep the gun hidden. Or maybe it wont, maybe you will just keep fighting for freedom and wackos will keep bringing whole gun caches to hotels. Hope your wife isnt blown away in the next attack. If she is, you will be the first one in line to sign petitions to change the system. Which wont do anything anyway according to those reports someone posted. Oh and again, if 90s even saw a gun in real life he would pee his pants. Pretend freedom fighter.
IMMensaMind 462 Posted October 3, 2017 Any gun fanatic here would just need one stray bullet off their daughters skull and they would be sniveling to abolish all weapons. Uh, that's utterly unfair, and an attempt to take advantage of one's personal tragedy. My wife's father was shot, and I had no such change of heart - nor did she. She told him to carry a gun when collecting rent from now on. You ones who are responsible are tainted by the few bad apples that spoil the bunch. You arent protecting anything. Not sure what this means. Your fantasy of stopping a black home invader with your weapon at the ready will never come true. And that's already been proven false. There are a ton of the following sorts of stories: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/homeowner-shot-intruder-as-harvey-hit-police-say/ If anything your kid will accidentally shoot you or his friend when he spies on where you keep the gun hidden. Or he could grab the keys to the car and drive over a cliff. Or maybe it wont, maybe you will just keep fighting for freedom and wackos will keep bringing whole gun caches to hotels. You seem to strive for an impossibility. Murders haven't declined in countries where total gun bans are in effect. They're simply killed different ways. Hope your wife isnt blown away in the next attack. If she is, you will be the first one in line to sign petitions to change the system. Which wont do anything anyway according to those reports someone posted. Appeal to Emotion fallacy attempt #2. No, that's not how it works. If my wife is killed in a car accident, I won't suddenly want to ban cars either. Oh and again, if 90s even saw a gun in real life he would pee his pants. Pretend freedom fighter. You don't mind personally insulting people to make your point, but it doesn't strengthen it at all. It makes it sound like you're driven emotionally rather than logically.
GobbleDog 997 Posted October 3, 2017 It is worth noting that 50%+ of crimes are committed by black individuals (males specifically) while making up only 13% of the population. And more often than not the firearm in possession is illegal. Just saying. I wonder what the /crime rate in Japan or Norway if they had to deal with that broken community.America's ghetto crime inflates our crime stats, probably due to more of inner city poverty areas than other nations. Regardless, minorities need protection too. Hell, they need gun protection more than me. Let's also not forget crime aside, guns are also responsible for countless horrific accidents usually involving kids - rich and poor alike. I don't know what the truth is with Australia's ban. Gun-right folks say their stats prove banning guns doesn't work and it's blaspheme to even consider it. I've read contradicting articles on both sides. Wiki says gun homicides are way down (obviously) - along with gun accidents and suicides, but homicides haven't changed much. However I doubt Australia's homicide rates were ever much to begin with. In any case, they don't have nearly the amount of mass shootings the US endures. No other first world country does. At the end of the day, gun folks win - there will be no serious reform in my lifetime and probably not my kid's. We have a lot more carnage in store! I'll live to see 100+ shot dead at some event someday. Heck, there will be another mass shooting before the end of October. America.
