kilroy69 997 Posted January 29, 2018 Overnight ratings for the Grammys were down 21% YOY, as the metered markets drew a 12.7 HH vs last year's 16.0. Wait. You mean people are less interested THIS year than they were LAST year about hearing "celebs" complain? Ya don't say. Hopefully it drops 50% next year.

cbfalcon 824 Posted January 29, 2018 It seems to me that the ratings tend to closely correspond with the mainstream appeal of the heaviest nominees. Last night's biggest nominees were: Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Bruno Mars. Last year's biggest nominees were: Beyonce, Adele, Justin Bieber, Drake We can blame politics if we want, but it's about the names.

Voltaire 4,567 Posted January 29, 2018 I was so proud of all geeks for not starting a thread about it whilst it was going on That would require tuning in ahd watching the political vomitous sh*tshow whine-fest and clutching a barf bag. cbfalcon 824 Posted January 29, 2018 Which set are bigger/better names? I don't believe you. But I'll just sum it up and say white people and teenagers both like Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Adele, and Bieber. White people and teenagers are far less likely to like Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, or Drake. White people and teenagers are far less likely to like Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, or Drake. They had Sting and U2 again representing the rock. Genre. Its either them, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, or Coldplay every year. Old dudes or the same bland bands. There is so much good music that the experts refuse to acknowledge during the show. Djgb13 2,338 Posted January 29, 2018 Yea it was all about the #metoo and times up movement. Wearing white roses, speeches about harassment, and performances about them were prevalent. Also, Hillary Clinton read the book Fire and Fury at the Grammys. At this point, the left is just shooting themselves in the foot and making themselves a laughing stock. And no I didnt watch but I saw the Facebook posts about it all last night
cbfalcon 824 Posted January 29, 2018 Don't do awards shows.......but I did catch Miley this a.m. on the news - damn, she looked hot as shiit. When I'm listing off girls that drive me crazy, obviously their hotness is what gets me to look at first. But it's little cute smiles and moments like this that end up driving me completely crazy for a girl. It's just a cute factor that hits me a certain way. https://twitter.com/MileyCyrus/status/957831905671634944

cbfalcon 824 Posted January 29, 2018 For a 1-time ride - would you give up golf for a year? No. But that's just because I've shifted to a place in which the one time ride with anyone isn't as big a deal to me. Now if I could actually give it a go with her for a year and see where it leads, I'd probably give up a year of golf. The feelings are real Cruzer. Very real. IGotWorms 3,323 Posted January 29, 2018 Could be due to politics etc. May also be due to people just watching less network tv generally. I mean ratings are down across the board on everything since people are choosing to watch Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc instead and even cutting the cord altogether. Also music sucks these days. Ive not even heard of half the acts they were promoting and the other half held no interest whatsoever. Im getting old but not THAT old yet
