10,000,000 cases so far. 237k deaths of which if you check with the CDC, only 6% of those are actually from COVID. So basically 0.14% death rate IF there were 10,000,000 cases. For every positive case, there has got to be a factor of 'x' that are walking around with it and haven't been tested.

Man, this thing is a real killer.

Now even if you believe that it's 237k deaths via Covid, the number is really low when you consider how fat and out of shape this country is. 2% when 80% of the county is fat and out of shape.

It is amazing. We have a morbid obesity problem but the numbers do not lie. Our fat POSs are not the garden variety types like in the Middle East or those island puffs. Most of ours are hard sack of flour types full of Monsanto chemicals.

I think this is the time of year where illness naturally increases, COVID seems to hurt the weak pretty hard, anything that happens to the weak where COVID can be attributed it will be....it feeds the political narrative.

It wont change until a few months into a Biden presidency when data collection practices and assessment will be <AHEM> "revised" and suddenly it will dramatically decrease....

This is exactly it.  For how many are dead, we should all know some that have died. 

Interestingly, North Korea public has ZERO fear of the corona virus, yet American's are scared out of their wits.   North Koreans aren't scared because they haven't had anyone die from it.

I have had this discussion with many co-workers around the country. It's a running joke at this point. None of us know anybody with it. I did have an obese fat niece that believes she had it. She took like 3 test and they kept telling her no. Finally on the 4th one they said she had "symptoms". Good enough. Now she tells everyone she had it and people pay attention to her...meh.

About 0.07% of the US has died from it thus far.  That's a lot of people considering there are over 300 million people in the country, but not enough that "we should all know some that have died from it."  I don't think I know any personally that has died from it (knock on wood), but I do have several friends who lost family members to it (and not just old people or grandparents).

I also don't think people are going around broadcasting if their family members died from it.   I had a good friend whose grandmother died from it but I didn't ask how she died and so it didn't come up until over a week after I knew about it.

That's what I'm getting at.  Our media is doing the the same thing they are to their people.

If all of your news is pushing the same information, and its all the same news and people don't have access to other view points...well.... North Korea.

If the North Koreans say "That's a lie!" to anything they are told, they might be asked "Okay, show me another source where it says its a lie" --- and if everything they look up, shows the same thing the government is telling them, uhh.... then the government is correct.  They must be.

So North Koreans told "no corona virus here" and when they search their internet, or read their papers, they can't find a single case. Sooooo.... obviously, there is no Coronavirus in North Korea.  It's just that simple.

Corona really shows the dichotomy between the left and the right.  Neither side is really all that concerned about covid, but the left pretends to care and does whatever they want and then complains that the government isn't telling them not to do what they're doing.  Meanwhile, the right isn't concerned, and they say it.  They do whatever they want to as well except they weigh the risk/reward and decide the risk is worth it.

The worst part, too, is that everyone hears the word epidemiologist and thinks they automatically know what they're talking about.  People who really work in the scientific community know that epidemiologists are about as educated as climatologists.  They're basically the chiropractors of the science community.  Engineers can do an epidemiologist's job on their lunch breaks.

Think about how many bad doctors are out there.  Hacks that finished in the bottom of their class.  Now think of the person that failed out of med school and fell back to epidemiology.  That's who you're dealing with for the most part.  Now there are definitely excellent epidemiologists, but those are the actual doctors that do it in their spare time.

That's why they were so wrong on all of their models.  Garbage in\garbage out, but they suck so bad they couldn't even bound the uncertainty by orders of magnitude, and the supposedly science loving goofballs absolutely ate that up because they have no idea how a model even works.

I wonder if CA, NY, and others will have the vaccine vetting process now to make sure its safe to administer.  Now that it will be marketed as the Sleepy Joe vaccine, and not the OMB vaccine, a secondary means of vetting may not be necessary.

Our CA Gavin said that he was going to form his own task force or whatever to make sure it was effective before he'd "let" people get the vaccine.

You guys really don't know anyone who has had it?  My sister had it months ago.  My niece and her husband went on a trip to Indiana and got it from his father who lives there.  A customer called me earlier today whose husband is in the hospital with it, she is in quarantine and is more worried about how to get half gallons of rum than anything else.  Another customer told me tonight that members of a local family have it, one supposedly lost 40 lbs.  I'm kinda surprised none of you know anyone who has or has had it.  I must live in Cootyville.
