As far as shutting down events goes, isn't that already up to local/state governments?  Inslee has shut down gatherings of 250 or more people for the 3 counties which include / neighbor Seattle.  This affects the Mariners, Sounders, concerts, and college sports.  Oh, and XFL (bummer).

My work just updated their coronavirus policy.  Anyone who wants to work from home for precautionary reasons may do so through the end of March.  We may switch to mandatory work from home if things get worse.  I may take advantage of this.  My hour commute sucks.

I was helping my wife figure out Zoom Meeting yesterday, as that is what the school district is going to use.  Pretty focking slick. Much better than Skype Business that my company uses.

No, sorry. After reading that post I see where you might seem to think that, but I meant that does not go far enough.

 

I think he should ban all international and almost all domestic travel, and roll out the national guard to known hotspots to help. I do not want flights from NYC or Seattle to Houston.

Most local universities here have moved entirely online for the rest of the semester. Got an email from my son’s school raising that possibility too. Got to admit I thought this was all nothing. Hugely disruptive though already. I’ll lose it if the gym closes.
