Someone should tell her to put a plastic bag completely over her head. Could be a very simple experiment in Darwinism.

If I get stuck in a quarantine and I run out of toilet paper, I can just use a face cloth or hop in the shower.  This isn't going to be some sort of Armageddon.  :dunno:

I just use your moms' moo moo. It still smells the same afterwards.

Finding more acute care beds is a “race against time,” Lombardy’s top health official, Giulio Gallera, said in a phone interview. “As of now the region’s health-care system is holding up well, but if the increase in the number of infected people in need of intensive care doesn’t slow down we could have issues.”

More than 80% of the region’s 1,123 acute care beds are dedicated to coronavirus, after many other patients have been moved elsewhere and 223 extra places have been opened to cope with the emergency. About half of those are occupied, Gallera said.

The hundreds of patients needing treatment for pneumonia have swamped the supply of available specialists, the Milan doctor said. Physicians such as gastroenterologists, who normally focus on the digestive system, have been conscripted to help out with lung patients, and they’re still not enough, the doctor said.

South Korea reported 242 novel coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 7,755 on Wednesday, as health authorities grapple with mass cluster infection cases in the country’s capital.

Six more people died Tuesday, bringing Korea’s death toll to 60, according to data from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

South Korea seems to be doing something correctly, they are getting hit but there mortality rate is drastically different than Italy.

It almost sounds like there is a rapid increase, then steady decline.  China and S.K. follow this trend.  It will be interesting to see if Italy comes around or not.

China did it through massive quarantines that are still not completely lifted.

South Korea has managed it through extremely aggressive testing, invading personal privacy, and small scale quarantines.

It looks like Italy is taking the China route by shutting down their economy.

Below is from the Canadian news(I will try to mostly link non-US news sources) interviewing a supervisor of intensive care units in northern italy. Obviously his view is skewed because of the extreme issues that the hospitals are facing, however that is the point of the video.  Their hospital structure is in trouble.

The interview is with a doctor in italy and is completely unrelated to the media in America.

Yes, his message was that other countries should start quarantining and start shutting down events sooner than Italy did. And that the mortality rate is increasing because they do not have the capacity to help people that they would normally be able to help.

That is completely opposite of the point the was made in the video. Many people require ventilators and supplemental oxygen.

I suggest limited reading of US media related to this and only reading foreign media and medical journals, this way you can filter out TDS and pro-Trump propaganda.

Looks like Inslee is going to impose cancelation of any events over 250 people.  Looks like no Sounders matches or concerts for the foreseeable future.  Was just a matter of time.  Luckily my concert calendar doesn't ramp up until May.

I suggest this is not uncommon with ANY flu ever.. I've been a respiratory therapist working in ER's and ICU's for 25 plus years. You bring up TDS. This says it all. Media driven horseshit. This MEDIA DRIVEN pandemic is a focking joke.

Which is why it is very important to read non-US news sources and medical journals. You should not rely on US media sources, the MSM in America has an agenda.

And they'll ask for a shitton of federal money to "pay" for it.  And of course they'll skim off the top and bottom.

This is why TBBOM is over there.  We need to let him do his work without alerting the enemy.

It's just a media creation, dude.  We don't need to alter our supply chain to the country over it.

Have any of you been out shopping lately?

3/10 in the Nashville area. The area was wracked by a tornado a week ago and the first Corona case showed up sometime in the last week as well.

Went shopping last night at Sams Club 30 miles south of Nashville. The place is totally out of toilet paper. Maybe half a skid of Kleenex remain and some paper towels. The large 2 isles were they normally store paper products are eerily empty. All Lysol spray and Clorox wipes are gone. Medicine like Mucinex are limited to 2 per customer. Gloves were down to one box of small.

I stopped at Home Depot for a few things while I was out and looked around while I was there. They did have toilet paper but all forms of disinfectant were gone.

Part of it could be the good folks buying and donating to the tornado victims- or its panic buying due to the new cases of the virus in the area.

And for anyone asking why everyone is buying so much toilet paper- it’s because the media “predicted” a shortage of toilet paper and the people followed suit and created the shortage. Crazy days are upon us.
