TommyGavin 790 Posted July 8, 2023 Lidl has their own brand based off the Sparkling Ice drink and is half the price. Grapefruit is my go to flavor. But any of them are great when cold.

Pimpadeaux 2,404 Posted July 9, 2023 Gotta go with water. Before the yardwork on the 2 acres begins, I take my big mug, fill it full of ice and water and put it in the refrigerator. When I'm overheated and parched, I reach in, grab that cold mug of goodness and commence to gulping it down. So refreshing.

Asians drink it at room temp, and they know things... I'm doing yardwork today; just finished a glass (it's 110+ here the past week or more) and I'll refill it before going back out, so that it warms up a little.

Do our bodies absorb warm water quicker than cold water? Actually the opposite is true. Cold water empties faster from the stomach and is therefore absorbed faster. The research looking into this has focussed on hydration of athletes where rapid absorption can mean the difference between winning and losing an event. Hawkeye21 2,381 Posted July 9, 2023 I prefer room temp water. I don’t like it ice cold. Lemonade is one of my favorites and also an Arnold Palmer.

There is no link there either, and it is just somebody's opinion. There are two other opinion posts -- one says warm water, and the other says it doesn't matter. Phayle post.
