Poll is who you think would be atop the ticket, but feel free to discuss who should be atop the ticket, as well as potential omissions.

Another discussion topic: how would the Ds get there? Convention deal?

They’ll pull a Weekend at Bernie’s first before they let him back out.

Even though their dopey voters like to run around saying 2020 was a landslide, the party leaders know how close it really was.

So many terrible candidates at the federal level.

Edit: Who am I kidding, at all levels of the government.

For the love of god, please don't try and elect Newsome.
He is all that is evil in the world of politics.
He sure did destroy Hannity in their sit down a month or so ago...Dude (Newsome) has a very quick mind. I'll give him that.

As a Californian, trust me...None of you Dems want him anywhere near real power.
TNG, 5 Points and prolly quite a few more Cali homos will attest to this.
Seriously, don't fall for his rhetoric.  He is not who he seems to be to those that haven't lived under his dictatorship here.

Kamala get the first crack. I’m not sure how the whole process even works though.

Historically, for her, she would just blow someone to get there

So she's had a lot of experience running for the Ds? 🤔

I’m curious, and not arguing with you here — because I’m really not very familiar with Newsome — but why do you say this?

I remember the Covid shutdown thing where he was hosting rich people in a wine cave or something? Definitely not good, but that’s the only bad thing I’ve specifically heard about him.

Of course, he is a California democrat, but he seems maybe not super loony considering?

They are pro politician, they have all blown someone to get to that level 😀

The bigger issue with Kamala is she isn’t likable on a national scale and failed pretty miserably on her first crack. I think if Biden were to step down she is the default backup, but if the process involves Dem voters I think she loses.

No clue how the mechanics of this would work at this late point. There really isn’t any time left for someone else to get it all organized is there? IMO that determines who would get the nom.

It seems like yesterday (a year ago actually) that most of us with a brain knew they were planning on pushing out the demented oatmeal brained China puppet for Newsom and all the shitlibs laughed at us and called us retarded. Now that the second coming of hitler is trouncing middle class Joe, one of the king sh!tlibs creates a poll about who is going to replace the current president. Another example of leftism being a mental disorder and board leftists are wrong 100% of the time, all the time.

Also comedy gold that the preferred candidate to replace chiner joe is the poster child for white privilege. Team intersectionality will collectively explode.

Biden is the ONLY D that can possibly beat Trump, and that's not a lock.  He needs to pick a running mate that isn't Kamala, then step down if he wins. But he won't do that.

Look back to 2020.  The dems knew they had zero chance of beating Trump with their gaggle of candidates so they cleaned up Biden, got him out of the basement, and added him late.

This seems like the correct answer

Shark move for Trump would be to offer a DNA test during the campaign with the Democrat Party candidate doing the same.  Dr. Ronny Jackson can evaluate and reveal results.

Yes, if you hate free speech, hate privacy, love big government control.  You are the biggest fascist in this forum.

He's just incredibly power hungry.

He signed and implemented several executive orders that really should have gone through our voting process, and left CA in a "state of emergency" nearly a year after all states were done. He meets with foreign leaders (China) and makes deals with them (masks back when CoVid started, and it cost millions to us). He just never makes decisions that are good for ALL, he's only concerned with himself. He was actually sued for abuse of power and lost.

I am not even counting during CoVid how his children were still able to go to school, he still went to $$ restaurants, while lay people were getting fined and losing their businesses. He's cheated on his previous and current wives. He also has a history of alcohol and drug abuse, and rehab (although he claims he never went to rehab, it was reported for over 10 years that he did...but when running for Gov he claimed it wasn't true).

He allegedly was also going to move into a high scale neighborhood (this is near me, so I heard plenty about it). When the people who live in the neighborhood found out, they apparently discussed it with the sellers realtor and complained quite a bit - no one wants him in their neighborhood.

Gavin only loves and cares about Gavin.

Sadly, I believe people will vote for him. Nancy and Kamala drove SF and other beautiful CA cities into the ground with open air drug use, cr@pping in the streets, homeless camps allowed on neighborhood sidewalks, etc. And people still vote for them. Gavin will be no different. And you think that gas prices and taxes are high now - wait until the entire nation is paying CA prices. People in the midwest with their $3.00/gallon gas won't be able to do anything when it's $6.00/gallon like it is here. And it WILL happen - all of our environmental and "green" laws we have here that push gas tax up and up - and they can raise it at ANY time without a vote.

I can't caution people enough to not vote for him; but elections have consequences.

And the whole money/power/wildfire thing that happened? Yeah. Gavin could have done a LOT more before entire cities were lost during CA wildfire season. You need to look into the political action committees that own Gavin and their involvement in our power grid.

Thanks for the response. 👍

He definitely does seem like an extremely ambitious type. I have no doubt he’s a bit of a psychopath or something. But that’s pretty much true of anyone with any kind of real shot at the presidency, right?

I have no problem with strict environmental policies and believe they are necessary. Yes there will be consequences but if you weigh that against certain destruction of the planet I think we have to make do. And actually there will be plenty of other jobs and opportunities created through the green revolution just as there was with the agricultural revolution,  industrialization, computerization etc.

Turning the cities to sh1t does concern me. I would hope the liberals have learned their lesson there but I certainly understand people being wary. They really have seriously hurt many west coast cities

Not sure I agree with the bolded.  I think a LOT of independents are wavering on Joe, the ones who have two brain cells to rub together recognize that he is cognitively impaired and worsening daily.  I think a Dem without that baggage opens up the available pool of independents.
