Also, in doing some more reading today, it appears that I was correct in my upstream assessment. The ruling does not say that the POTUS is immune from official acts; it clarifies the definitions of official vs. unofficial, and within official, those which are absolute vs. presumptive. For the presumptive case, there is an additional burden on the prosecution to show that it is not an official act, which is completely reasonable and needed based on the recent lawfare from the DoJ. The Left is not only butt hurt that this delays their prosecutions of Trump, but they also desperately need to flip the narrative from Biden being brain dead. Walla! The message is: Trump will use this to be a dictator and jail his opponents, and SCOTUS is rogue. Also, we need to put Trump in jail and defend our institutions. Soft-minded people are lapping it up.
