BunnysBastatrds 1,921 Posted April 17, 2018 Damn not a good week for SW they had another incident this week as well. They had a flight coming into New Orleans Saturday. The weather was really bad and the pilot decided he was going to land in it. Right before he was going to land he pulled up and went to Pensacola. They almost ran out out of gas. One of the local news girls was on the flight. She said it was the most horrifying experience her life. People were throwing up and screaming. Texting their loved ones good bye. The stewardess's were screaming at everybody telling them to tighten their seat belts as tight as the would go. Bet that was intense. A stewardess once told me that the reason they tell you to put your head between your legs is so you'll break your neck on the seat in front of you and kill you instantly. We were coming into Minneapolis one time in a blizzard. I took the pilot 4 trys to land the plane. It sucked big time. When we finally touched down the whole plane erupted in cheers. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted April 18, 2018 Is there a video of the explosion and of the woman almost getting sucked out of the plane? Of course not. Using an electronic device to record such a video is in violation of FAA regulations because it may interfere with the planes navigation system. But feel free to swipe your credit card in the phone in your seat back. That one is special somehow. I once had a stewardess yell that at me for having my phone on. We were on the ground, taxiing to the jetway, which was about fifty yards away. That time, I managed to swallow my smartass comment.

LOD01 191 Posted April 18, 2018 Weird that the window above the wing blew out and not the one directly across from the mangled engine. That's some fuckin bad luck. I'll bet that she unfastened her seat belt. I never do that on any flight.

cbfalcon 824 Posted April 18, 2018 This morning listening to the radio, they played audio of the pilot communicating with the airport. She is about as calm and collected as one could imagine. I could have the specifics wrong, but I think they said she was the first female F-18 pilot for the Navy.

Remember when the Creature just got sucked out of like a 50 cent piece sized hole into space? This chicks ass hole probably landed in a cornfield somewhere. It's what we call Cleveland Calamari. WOuldn;t be surprised if this gets YOOGE..Unless she is cool enough to say, leave me alone, I was just doing my job.

WOuldn;t be surprised if this gets YOOGE..Unless she is cool enough to say, leave me alone, I was just doing my job. From what I understand of being a pilot (not much), this was a way tougher landing than Sully's. Loss of pressure, nose diving to get below 10,000 ft, she was under the impressions someone had been sucked out of the plane, etc....whereas I've heard that most pilots believe any trained pilot could have pulled the Sully without too much issue. Sounds plausible. Like you, I'm no pilot. Just listened to the ATC recording and it was pretty darn impressive how calm she was through the entire ordeal. She deserves her kudos. I just see this blowing up massively simply cause it's a woman.

Come on now, to have that happen right after takeoff and end up in the Hudson River in the middle of winter and come out of it with basically no one even hurt... thats pretty incredible. Dont care who you are.

LOD01 191 Posted April 19, 2018 Maybe fat people should only sit next to the window...with their seatbelt off, just in case. If she didn't plug the hole, more people could have been sucked out. A fat person plugs the hole every time. Also, losing a fat person is a win-win. She should have kept her seatbelt on.
