Trump has never been one to make idle threats. He wants Mexico to stop the caravan and if not there is going to be trouble. He might just argue that mexico allowing this caravan to proceed is an act of war on the part of Mexico. There are many on the right making that argument already. The left will obviously disagree, but their protests are likely to be ineffective because the left has opposed everything Trump has done, so its lost in the noise.

 

Let's not forget the democrats initially supported Bush on Iraq which gave them leeway and credibility to oppose him later. That's not the case here. The democrats opposed from day 1, so they don't have the high ground.

 

But this is no stunt. Trump doesn't do stunts. This is real.
