Twas 40-60K.  Which is the flu range.  But the WelcherDC's of the world had their periods when that info came down.  The 60-80K, but that didn't sell either.  So the press inflated and the government raised the worst case to 240K, and the CDC started counting selfiejr's yeast infections as COVID.  It's all a lie and the real total is probably under 10K in the US, with another 5K possible.

I used to love documentaries. Michael Moore ruined them.  I watch most with a grain of salt if I bother too at all. I once actually owned a bunch, including Moore’s.

I did hear some responsible answers/questions for some of the disparity in numbers earlier on ABC News.  They actually had several black doctors and scientists describing the issue and not one mentioned racism or oppression. I have to see if I can find the thing because it must be like a unicorn.

Everything else has been total sh!t filled with reverse racism.  Just saw something in my email that made me want to puke.  It is a summary of an article in the Boston Globe. I can assure you that I won't read it now.

Regarding our bet, I'm liking my odds more and more every day, but would you be OK changing it to $50 vs. $100?  With me looking for work and hiring being... umm... sporadic at best these days, if September rolls around and things are still a shiot show on the job front, I don't want to have to tell my wife I owe $100.  She knows about the bet in general, and I don't think $50 has nearly as bad a sound.  More of an optics/home happiness thing, which I think you can appreciate.

The models take into account the social distancing. So now that we are shutting everything down there are less deaths. If everything was opened back up then the models would predict more deaths.

Where do you see this? When I look at CDC and other medical sites the data i read is the opposite, that there may be cases of covid-19 that are still being misdiagnosed as pneumonia.

An ER doctor friend of mine in Tulsa. It was part of a long discussion about pneumonia historically being listed as the cause of death when in reality many of the people that reportedly died from on pneumonia only got pneumonia because they had the flu.
