If you apply for a job and they send you an EEOC form to fill out it is a sign they are looking for a minority and is an easy way to filter you out if you are not a minority. They will "claim" this is not the case but I have literally seen it happen with my own 2 eyes.  The DEI people have made it easy to openly discriminate against anyone not belonging to an under represented minority group.

It's just we're putting new coversheets on all the TPS reports before they go out now. So if you could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on, that'd be great.

Fire Code requires at least two separate ways of egress when dealing with a magnetic door lock.  One of those needs to be independent of any door access system.  Generally, power to the mag lock is run through a pneumatic push button.

Mayo - lettuce - and two slices of tomatoes on the top bun - 4 pickles, ketchup and enough onion so you can taste a bit in every bite on the burger.

If you’re injured on the job or in an accident and sue for large damages and claim you cannot walk right or are not able to lift anything heavy, those you are suing are watching and filming you. Especially if if you do something that proves you can.

Hiring people based on merit still trumps their minority status, even in companies highly invested in DEI.

The suicide clause is only two years. If you kill yourself two years and a day after your policy anniversary date, we'll pay the claim.

If you purchase something from a vendor that's out of state and they don't charge you any sales tax, you may very well be liable for use tax. That's the number one thing that completely trips up many large corporations with very smart people.

I have been a recruiter for a long time now.  I have worked at both small and large companies. I can say that this 100 percent has not been my experience.

I once had a hiring manager for a major online therapy company tell me  " Find me someone for the job. Just make sure they do not look like you."  Which was pretty funny to me considering their spokesperson is one of the most entitled white men in the world today. It was one of the most uncomfortable working environment I have ever been in and I almost tore my arm off when I was 19 in an industrial accident. Each day for the standups in a chat room full of 20 people I could play the game one of these things is not like the others.....and it was me. I was the thing CLEARLY not like the others.

Other examples right off the top of my head.

If you tried to submit anyone for a job at Oakland county in Michigan it was well known that it was a good ol girls club and you were only going to place a female.

A major dating site asked specifically for female iOS engineers and paid them SIGNIFICANTLY higher than their white male counterparts with the same experience .

A major bank holding company told me they were only looking to fill "this batch of roles with black people or Latin X" whats in your wallet?

One hiring manager said that "their quota for white men was filled for the year" and that I needed to keep working till I find a candidate from an "underrepresented group"

One or two of these experiences you can chalk up to bad players. Eventually you chalk it up to a bad pattern.

Also. Here is an extra tidbit from a recruiter. The biggest beneficiaries of DEI are white women and it is not even remotely close. It allows companies to still stock their staff with white people yet claim they have a huge investment in diversity. That "diversity" being all white women of course.

In my first hand experience across different verticals and industries the more liberal and heavily invested companies are in DEI the more they hire based on minority status vs skills.

Not all colors are reproducible on video, take that into consideration when creating company logos and choosing brand colors.

Cops and judges will always side with the person who says “im sorry” as almost noone does it. Everyone approaches the law thinking they are some master manipulator and can win that way. Cops and judges hear im sorry so infrequently its pretty much an automatic win.

That's really discouraging to hear. Obviously my experience has been different. I've only worked for one company that would be considered a national or global "player." I am a hiring manager in my department and we have NEVER been told to hire on any grounds other than merit, or at least potential. Obviously it's good if we can hire a minority, but they won't beat out a better qualified white guy, ever.

I did my college thesis in a high voltage research lab.  There was a machine with a sign that said "this machine generates [xxx] amps.  THIS IS LETHAL!

I appreciated that they didn't beat around the bush with amorphous words like "dangerous". You touch this, you dead.

An average rule of thumb is withdrawing 4% of your retirement assets per year gives you are strong likelihood you will not outlive those assets.

Yes, 4%

$1,000,000 x 4% = NOT ENOUGH.

Interesting.  I always heard it was 7 years.  Or is that something different... like presumed dead with no body?

The automobile insurance companies and billboard lawyers make millions off of the consumer and drive prices up because they can due to insurance commissioners lack of reform in their state. Ever notice how many commercials on tv are the numerous insurance ones? Guess who pays for it? You.

Natural Gas is odorless, what you are smelling is the mercaptan added to it so that leaks may be detected easier.

What does that have to do with fake lawyers?

That's why it's smart to switch to one of those smaller companies no one's ever heard of.  Side note: I'm not that smart.

Yeah because I’m sure insurance companies would pass the savings on to the consumer

Not so much fact here as opinion.  And the carriers don’t profit because of predatory attorneys taking flimsy BI cases on contingency.  They spend hundreds of millions defending those bogus suits.

That doesn’t matter. Small or big. It’s one of the most competitive markets in all of the industry. You move to another might start over and then get your rates back up. Especially with homeowners. If the state you live in has to have an insurance of last resort, be prepared to stick your finger up your ass and take it. Prior to Katrina, I was paying $900.00Q yearly. After, for everything, after with Louisiana Citizens,$ 2900, and that was only for wind/hail. Another six hundred for homeowners and another four hundred for. Flood/FEMA. Biggest racket there is. My best advice is do not trust a company with less than a B+ rating.
